The first “RIDER” engines were manufactured in 1880 by the De Lamater Iron Works. This was the inspiration for the “Peanut Rider” engine. They had seperate sides for the hot-cold section and the power piston. The hot section was a firebox and and you could burn wood, coal, oil, gas or anything that would produce heat.
Specifications: Base is 5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″, 4″ width x 9″ height, 3/4″ stroke, 3-1/2″ flywheel.
